Shocking real life. That sounds like what I've experienced over the past year leading up to my 50th birthday.
In anticipation of this momentous event, I've been working on, and enjoying, a 50th Year Bucket List. In addition to all the usual things you might find on a bucket list, like traveling, I've tried to focus on things that will have great meaning to me. Or maybe just because they sound fun. So, instead of traveling to any number of tropical islands (don't get me wrong, that IS on the lifelong master list), my 50th Year Bucket List is filled with lots of things tied to my southern roots. Things that will enrich my life and keep me smiling all year long. The latter being the most important!
Last weekend, my list included a blogging workshop with writing icon Hollis Gillespie.
If you want to experience an amazing day learning how to improve your blogging, social media presence, and writing skills, you have to attend one of her awesome Shocking Real Life workshops! Hollis Gillespie is a rock star and this was definitely one of the best workshops that I've attended. Ever. And it was at my new favorite place to hang out - Ponce City Market. Hip (my teenage daughters would D.I.E. if they knew I used the word hip), cool, funny, and major information overload.
